Agassou Central America Symbols Charm

Dahomean customs are protected by Agassou, the Leopard Spirit. He is revered as an ancient spirit in Dahomey and the royal family's protector. He is often revered in Haiti as the lwa of ancestors, lineage, and home. According to legend, Ayida-Wedo requested that Agassou deliver Vodou and the power of the ancestors to Haiti from Africa (Giné). With the help of a crab, Agassou swiftly complied with this request. Agassou is considered being a monarch in Haiti and he is compared to Saint Louis, the sainted king of France.
