Canterbury Cross Charm

The Canterbury Cross is a Christian symbol whose design is inspired by a Saxon-style brooch dating to around 850 CE. This brooch was discovered in 1867 on St. George's Street in central Canterbury, England, and is now housed in the Canterbury Museum.
The design of the Canterbury Cross includes a small central square from which four outward-widening arms extend, each with a triangular panel carved with a triquetra pattern symbolizing the Trinity. This design gives the cross an overall circular effect of rotating toward the world.
The Canterbury Cross is not only part of Christian symbolism but also symbolizes the unity of the Anglican Communion. For example, in 1932, Canterbury Crosses made from stones from various parts of Canterbury were sent to Anglican cathedrals worldwide as symbols of connection with Canterbury. Additionally, a stone replica was erected in Canterbury Cathedral, and similar replicas were installed in other Anglican churches to remind people of their connection to the 'mother church' of Canterbury.
The Canterbury Cross not only has deep historical and cultural significance but is also widely used in modern Christian practice, especially in Anglican traditions, where it is regarded as an important religious symbol.
