The Papal Cross represents the Roman Catholic Church's authority. It is specifically given to the Pope and remains the official symbol of the Roman Catholic Church. No other church or organized is allowed to use the symbol for any purpose as such. The three bars of the Papal Cross is meant to represent the trinity – the Father, the Son, and the Holy Ghost.
