The Church of the Flying Spaghetti Monster
Originating in the United States, it was founded in June 2005 by Bobby Henderson, a physics graduate from Oregon State University. Its followers believe that the universe was created by a Flying Spaghetti Monster during a severe drinking binge, and this Flying Spaghetti Monster is the one true god, hence also known as the Flying Spaghetti Monster. As of February 2016, the Church of the Flying Spaghetti Monster has been recognized as a legal religion in Denmark and New Zealand, while the Dutch government has granted it legal religious status.
