Athame – Dagger Wicca Symbols Necklace

Usually, with a black handle, an Athame is a ceremonial dagger. Blades are a popular component of Wiccan rites and ceremonies, and the Athame is employed as a metaphor for murdering the past, the undesired feelings, and painful memories, or for leaving what is to be left behind. Athames are frequently shown with their blades pointing upward, making them connected with the elements of air and fire, whose symbols are triangles with an upward-facing angle. Before being used in Wiccan ceremonies, Athames must first be sanctified. Since craftspeople used them for related tasks like candle molding in the past, they were originally single-edged.
