Simbi Andezo, also known as Simbi in Two Waters, is in charge of freshwater, which includes rivers, streams, and water holes. There are several interpretations of 'two waters': this Simbi might be a spirit of fresh and salt waters, or it could be a spirit of swamplands where fresh and salt waters meet. The two waters might be referred to as the Water of Life and the Water of Oblivion or Death. Saint Andrew is syncretized with Simbi Andezo. When you make offerings, give him two types of liquids, not just one. In other words, offer him water and whisky, saltwater and freshwater, pond water and rainwater, and so on.
