Shreyansanatha, the eleventh Jain Tirthankara of the current period, is symbolized by a rhinoceros. According to Jain teachings, he became a Siddha, a freed soul who has destroyed all of its karma. Shreyansanatha, according to Jains, was born to King Vishnu and Queen Vishna in the Ikshvaku dynasty in Simhapuri, near Sarnath.
