Juksakka Juksahkka is the Sami deity of birth and midwifery. She is also linked to fertility and the defense of young children and newborns. Juksakka is there during the birth to change the baby's gender if necessary. According to the Sami people, she eases women's agony during childbirth and safeguards both the mother and the kid. She is also credited with the blessing and ensuring the welfare of newborn children. Several traditional Sami healing techniques also invoke the aid of Juksakka.
