The Babylonian deity Nabu is associated with knowledge, prophecy, scribes, and writing. He is also in charge of the bountiful harvest and all living things. His name, which translates to 'the Announcer,' alludes to his prophetic and creative abilities to summon forth words, the harvest, and other plant life, as well as prophecy-related visions.
